ÖZET
Doğu
toplumları, insana ve yaşama dair her ayrıntıyı hikâyeleştiren ortak bir anlatı
geleneğine sahiptir. Bu gelenek, Osmanlı kültüründe mesnevilerde hayat
bulmuştur. Mesneviler, temelde vakaya dayalı ve tahkiye esaslı kurmaca
anlatılardır. Özellikle iki kahramanlı aşk mesnevileri bir aşk hikâyesi
etrafında kurgulanır ve hikâye ortak bir kültür ve geleneğin aşk anlayışı ile
şekillenir.
Üç
Arûs ve Üç Dâmât, XVIII. yüzyılda kaleme alınmış realist bir mesnevidir. Şu
an için bilinen ve müellif hattı olduğu tespit edilen tek nüshası, Atatürk
Üniversitesi Kütüphanesi, Seyfettin Özege Kitaplığı ASL 94-98 numarada kayıtlıdır.
Konu ve başlıklandırma itibarıyla
özgün bir eser olan Üç Arûs ve Üç Dâmât
mesnevisinde, II. Selim zamanında İstanbul’da yaşanan veba salgınlarıyla
başlatılan olay örgüsü, realist zaman ve mekân unsurlarıyla, gerçekçi bir
anlatım sergilemektedir. Eserde vaka,
üç aşk hikâyesi etrafında şekillenir. Bu aşk hikayelerinin yolculuk, macera ve
kavuşma ekseninde devam eden serüvenleri; Osmanlı toplumunun gündelik hayatı,
bürokratik ilişkileri, örf ve adetleri, yeme, içme ve eğlence kültürüne dair
renkli ve zengin malzemelerle sunulmuştur.
Bu
çalışmada, Türk mesnevi edebiyatı için orijinal bir mesnevi olan, Üç Arûs ve Üç Dâmât mesnevisi
